Volunteer
Legal Prep needs attorney volunteers to help make the school a success. Lawyer participation is one of the most important components of a truly legal-themed high school experience. Make your commitment to volunteer today in one or more of the following programs:
2012-13 Attorney Volunteer Mentoring Program
Every Legal Prep student will be placed into a cohort of four students and paired with a cohort of at least two attorney or law student mentors. Mentors will commit to the program for the 2012-13 school year and get together with the students eleven times over the course of the school year. Time Commitment: 2 hours every three weeks / one year

ACT Test Prep
Legal Prep is partnering with non-profit Griffith Tutoring to offer its students free ACT test prep. Griffith trains corporate partner volunteers to tutor students using a research-based curriculum. These test-taking skills supplement the content and skills the students gain at Legal Prep.
Number of Organizational Partners Needed: 4 (with each bringing 25 volunteers)
Time Commitment: 75 minutes per week / 6 weeks

Remedial Tutoring
The majority of Legal Prep students will enter high school at an educational deficit. Part of Legal Prep's remediation plan to get all students on track for college is to offer after-school tutoring to students with the greatest need.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 25
Time Commitment: 75 minutes per week / 12 weeks

Mock Trial Coaches & Debate Coaches
Legal Prep will offer both Mock Trial and Debate as extracurricular activities. Attorney coaches will guide these two teams and prepare them for competitions with other schools.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 6
Time Commitment: 60 minutes 2 times per week / 12 weeks

Saturday Law Academy Instructors
Legal Prep will offer a Saturday Law Academy that will run six consecutive weeks. Sessions will be team taught by law professors and attorneys using a research-based curriculum.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 12
Time Commitment: 4 hours / once
