ways to get involved
Legal Prep has a strong tradition of engaging members of the community with Legal Prep students. Whether you are an individual or a member of a Chicago-area business or law firm please see some of the opportunities below.
join our Law programs- Negotiations,
serve as a mentor
Lawyers and business professionals who are interested in partnering with and guiding one student through their high school career are encouraged to take part in Legal Prep’s mentorship program. Mentors communicate and meet with Legal Prep students on a regular basis and provide advice on college, career, and the future. Apply HERE.
volunteer for group clean up/physical improvement projects
Firms and businesses can participate in group clean up or building improvement projects. Previous projects have included painting, clean up, and library cataloguing. If volunteers wish to work on projects with students this also could be done during weekday or weekend hours.
become a law academy instructor
Members of the legal community are encouraged to provide law themed instruction to students on a singular or on-going basis. Students benefit and appreciate the insights and perspective of professionals outside of the education framework.
coach/support/sponsor a team
Legal Prep is continually advancing and expanding its athletic and after school programs. Supporters can sponsor or coach a club or team, host events in support of certain teams, or volunteer time on a one-time or ongoing basis.
