Social Emotional LearningAll freshmen take a daily Social-Emotional Learning Class, which focuses on a successful transition into high school as well as professionalism and life skills needed for effective communication both personally and professionally.
The goals of the SEL class are to ensure a smooth transition to high school and establish a platform to impart some of the softer skills that are required for success in high school and life. Some of the units of this class include Healthy Relationships, Gratitude, and College & Career. |
Restorative environmentConflict Resolution and Counseling - Students have a number of resources available to them. Students can meet with our school counselors proactively before issues arise and to receive holistic support day to day.
Mediation Program - This program assists students and staff in de-escalating conflicts while repairing harm through Restorative Practices. Mediations work towards solving ongoing interpersonal problems or one-time incidents, address staff and student conflicts that impede classroom learning, and develops conflict resolution and problem solving skills for all. |

AdvisoryAll students participate in the Legal Prep Advisory System. Each school day, students meet with their Advisory in a same-gender setting with a consistent advisor.
Students meeting individually with their advisor weekly for check-ins and support in all areas of their wellbeing. Their advisor serves as a part of the social, emotional, and academic support system for students and a key point of contact for parents and families. |
