The Legal Prep’s College Counseling office supports the school’s mission to prepare students for successful, engaging, and enriching lives through higher education.

To these ends, the office provides clear post-secondary guidance in support of the ambitions of Legal Prep students. We believe the student’s voice is at the center of any conversation around future planning.

Our Goal: Guide students to find their best-fit college or post-secondary option, and support their continued success after graduating from Legal Prep.

To these ends there are three broad stages we focus on:
  • Who am I? What motivates me? (“Know thy self”)
  • Research colleges and universities that reflect my personality and goals.
  • Apply to best-match colleges and universities and decide where to attend.

"I still talk to a lot of my high school teachers and maintained a special bond. A lot of schools don't do that, they usually let go and forget about the students; but not Legal Prep!"
- Dezha Bryant, Class of 2016
"The biggest impact legal prep had on me during my high school year is to never give up and to always believe in yourself because no matter what, your goals can be accomplished."
Latavia Haggins, Class of 2019
