Student Life at Legal prep

Here at Legal Prep, we expect students to become advocates for their own education. As such, we expect all students to exemplify our Four Pillars:

Academics

Legal Prep has a culture of high expectations for Academics. Our program supports students through engaging and culturally relevant lessons.

Enrichments

Legal Prep has many Enrichment activities and clubs outside the classroom that students enjoy.

Law Programs

As Chicago's only legal themed high school, we offer supplementary law-themed programs that make our school unique.

School Culture

Legal Prep prioritizes social emotional learning and support for all our students both in and out of the classrooms. 

Athletics

Legal Prep athletics believes in fostering exemplar sportsmanship and character in our students and coaches through rigorous athletic opportunities. 

Community Service

​All Legal Prep students are encouraged to complete 40 hours of community service during their tenure at Legal Prep. 

Student Health and Wellness

Over the past year, the pandemic has impacted the mental wellness of many CPS students and their families. 

In order to help students and their families access the mental health support they need, the CPS Office of Student Health and Wellness (OSHW) has partnered with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) and HealthChoice Illinois. Together, their mission is to help make families aware and take advantage of the full range of mental health care and social services.
